This weekend is expected to be New England鈥檚 busiest ever Fourth of July on the roads, according to AAA.
鈥淒espite the record gas prices that we鈥檝e been seeing this summer, 2.4 million New Englanders are going to be traveling by car to their destination,鈥 said Tracy Noble, Northeastern AAA鈥檚 public affairs manager.

Gas prices are down slightly from their peak earlier in June, currently about $4.85 for a gallon of regular in 海角换妻. During last year鈥檚 Fourth of July weekend, a gallon of was $3.12.
鈥淧eople over the course of the last two years, thanks to COVID, had changed their vacation plans, stayed home and just altered their plans in general,鈥 Noble said. 鈥淪o this year, they made their plans early, and they鈥檙e sticking with it.鈥
