Republicans in Washington finally got closer to the goal they鈥檝e had for about seven years - the repeal and replacement of Obamacare. Well, at least the repeal part.
With the help of ailing Senator John McCain and the tie-breaking vote by Vice President Mike Pence, debate was opened on a bill that would...actually, does anyone knows what it would do? The first vote - on a 鈥渃omprehensive鈥� repeal and replace went down to defeat last night. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that more than 20 million people could lose their health insurance if some version of the GOP bill gains passage.
Meanwhile, a sideshow of behind-closed-doors testimony from Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort regarding their links to Russia, and a Tweetstom or two from the president berating his attorney general for his recusal on the Russia investigation.
This hour, we also consider Senator Blumenthal co-sponsoring a bill to punish those who would boycott Israel, and get the latest from a budget stalemate at the state capitol in Hartford.
